Technical Writing Intern – Mechanics
We are looking for a Technical Writing Intern – Mechanics who is passionate about motorized vehicles and will actively participate in the development of our next generation electric vehicle manuels.
- Participate in the writing and adaptation of part manuals using technical vocabulary
- Adapt particular drawings and illustrations for publication
- Carry out the search for relevant documents in collaboration with the employees of the different departments
- Participate in verifications, additions and corrections of documents
- Ensure compliance with the organization’s technical and internal standards
- Collaborate with engineering, production and supply teams
- Coordinate development steps, estimate new requirements and ensure optimal development and manufacturing costs
- Draw/design new parts/assemblies and/or make revisions to existing parts
- Ensure that a product can be manufactured reliably and consistently (product viability)
- Lead junior team members ensuring that all the team strengths are leveraged
Exigences:
- You are in the process of completing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant education
- You have experience in technical writing in the field of mechanics, particularly in the manufacture of motor vehicles or rolling stock (handling, transportation, construction, agricultural, urban, ambulance, bus, etc.)
- You have experience with SOLIDWORKS, PDM, MS Office, etc.
Profil recherché:
- Leadership skills, teamwork and good communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and logical approach
- Ability to understand a range of engineering functions and procedures
- Good written and verbal skills in French and English.Indeed, you may have to translate or write manuals for customers/suppliers who are in the USA.
- Computer skills; experience with CAD software (SolidWorks) and MS Office
