Product manager
Exprolink is looking for a Product Manager to bring its Propac™ brand to market—a new range of compact, electric bins designed for specialized waste collection. The mission includes integration onto electric chassis and the commercialization of a product mix: some manufactured by a European partner and others produced in Canada by Exprolink. To support them in this task, the candidate can rely on a full team of experienced designers in rolling stock engineering, a dynamic and skilled marketing department, and a distribution network covering all of Canada and the United States.
YOUR MISSION
- Manage one or multiple product families in accordance with the commercial policy defined by management, throughout the product lifecycle: creation, development, launch, go-to-market, promotion, and follow-up.
- Conduct market research, perform competitive analysis, and gather information to evaluate the competition.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the business sector and become the organization’s technical and commercial expert in waste collection.
- Participate in events and trade shows as a product expert to support the sales team.
- Visit prospects and clients to fully understand their challenges and realities.
- Collaborate with clients, users, and key stakeholders to identify, define, and improve the product and its key features.
- Write clear and concise functional specifications for each product improvement request.
- Participate in the development of new products and services by establishing directions, goals, guidelines, and priorities for engineering teams.
- Participate in CIQ workshops.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of professional experience, preferably in engineering,
or a technical DEC in engineering (or equivalent) with 15 years of professional experience. - Knowledge of the rolling stock industry.
- Excellent command of English (essential).
- Ability to collect, analyze, and objectively interpret data.
- Strong understanding of the product lifecycle concept.
- Ability to write a functional specification document (FSD).
- Skilled in monitoring and measuring the performance of implemented actions.
- Willingness to travel 4 to 6 times per year (USA and Europe).
